  • Discover the oldest Monastery on Lake Skadar – Vranjina Monastery
  • Enjoy a short uphill walk with a backdrop of scenic views
  • Taste wine in the wilderness with untouched nature all around
  • Swim, refresh yourself and enjoy the summer breeze

Begin your adventure in the charming fishing village of Virpazar, nestled on the tranquil shores of Lake Skadar. Here, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a member of the Kingfisher team, who will check you in, introduce you to your guide, and make sure you’re ready for an unforgettable journey.

Glide along picturesque river channels as your boat slips away from the dock, surrounded by lush fields of reeds and graceful willows dipping into the water. Before long, you’ll emerge onto the breathtaking expanse of Lake Skadar, the largest lake in southern Europe, where the twin peaks of Vranjina Island appear on the horizon.

Step ashore on Vranjina Island and embark on a gentle uphill walk to the historic Vranjina Monastery. Perched above the winding delta of the Morača River, the monastery is a peaceful haven that has watched over the lake for centuries. Only the church dedicated to St. Nicholas remains today, but its serene atmosphere and panoramic views make it a truly special place. The walk, just ten minutes, rewards you with sweeping vistas of the shimmering lake and the lush riverbanks below.

After exploring this spiritual landmark, return to your boat for a leisurely cruise back to Virpazar. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to dive into the refreshing waters of Lake Skadar, so be sure to bring your swimsuit and sunscreen!

To complete your tour, delight your senses with a local wine tasting experience. Sample unique regional wines and learn about Montenegrin winemaking traditions, all while surrounded by the beauty of the lake and mountains.

Amazing cruise
This three hours tour is amazing: you can see many beautiful landscapes, birds, lotus, you can also visit an ancient monastery and swim in the lake! The staff is friendly and very kind. We loved this experience!

We had a great time on this boat ride!
We went early in the morning, so many birds were out on the lake, and it wasn't too hot. After winding our way through the lake, spying on birds and even spotting some wild goats on one of the islands, we went to the Monastery to look out over that portion of the lake, which was just stunning. We also enjoyed a few glasses of local wine. Lastly was a dip in the lake to cool off. I highly recommend this tour as a chance to peacefully explore the lake in a traditional boat without many other tourists.

Very friendly welcome
Superb tour. Just for us (we were a group of 6). The managers even recommended an excellent restaurant for us before the tour. This lake is lovely. We highly recommend it.
